I know about no money
I know about hard work
I know about playing the fool
I know about being the jerk
I know about no money
I know about pay day loans
I know about the car ain't running
I know about walking home
Well I like cold ham and cheese sandwhiches
But I like Peanut butter and jelly more
I like my beer of the light variety
And no matter how many I've had
I could always have a couple more
Well I like my Wrangler jeans
But I wish more things were union made
And I wear my shirts mostly unbuttoned
And I like my stuff more the less I paid
So if you see me walking down lifes highways
Won't you stop and ask if I need a ride
Because I have plenty of good days
But i still have those days that I just break down and cry

This ain't Texas. This ain't Nashville. This is country that straddles the US and Canadian border. Its wide open, strong, and a little vulnerable, and in a lot of cases having a good ol' time. I love her feel. veenstar
Irresistible classic country music abounds on “Listening To The Music,” full of lap steel, walking bass, and heartwarming melodies. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 5, 2020

I am not really an expert in today's country music. I know and appreciate Sheryl Crow or the Dixie Chicks, but that's it more or less. NIKKI LANE's rocking style with a decent rough edge fits quite well to this "strong women" references. Several songs are catchy and always welcome on my soft music playlists, check for example "First High", "Born Tough" or "Black Widow". H.L.
